Loops drag CTCFs (◀ and ▶ lanes) to move them
Encounters upper: mean duration; lower: frequency
Every time unit of simulation time, the effective distance between every pair of bins (each represented by its middle site) is checked against the threshold; a pair is in an encounter while it's within it. Each pair keeps two running totals: the encounters it has started and the time it has spent in encounters. Below the diagonal is the frequency, encounters per time unit; above it, the mean duration, time in encounters per encounter (an encounter still going counts with its time so far). Pairs already within the threshold along the lattice are always in an encounter, so they're greyed out. Both scales are logarithmic and follow the data. Changing the threshold or the bin size starts the totals afresh; changes to the model don't, so press Reset to see only the new model. Legs meeting a CTCF from behind may be evicted, unloading their LEF at once; a leg whose partner is captured is immune.
